It is safe to say we have had an incredibly busy and fun summer this year, which has definitely made up for last year during Covid! One of our most exciting and biggest builds was setting up at CarFest this year where we were able to set up tipis, stretch tents AND our dome!

CarFest is an annual family music and motoring festival which is held in Cheshire and Hampshire in England. The radio presenter Chris Evans founded the festival in 2011 and the festival raises funds for children’s charities, and they have raised over £16.5 million which is incredible! Some of their charity partners include BBC Children in Need, Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust and Rainbow Trust. 2021 also marked the 10th birthday for CarFest so some big celebrations were definitely on the way as well as celebrating being back to normal!

We were able to show off our incredible tipis as well as something a little different… this year we were able to use one of our red coloured stretch tents which we were excited to showcase and it definitely stood out with the bright colour!

There is no doubt that our crew have been constantly on the go and super busy with different builds over the summer for a variety of events and the final results are always rewarding to see! Here are a few photos from the summer!

This summer we were also able to set up our sister business Canvas Hamlet again. A pop-up glamping site set up at Carreglwyd Estate in Anglesey. We had great fun over the six-week period, and it was exciting to bring Canvas Hamlet on a much bigger scale. It was great to see families enjoy their staycation with us and thankfully the weather pulled through for us (most of the time)!

Carreglwyd Estate is a gorgeous place, with a lake near the house, woodland areas, beautiful scenery and not too far from some of Anglesey’s beaches. One of our favourite things at the camp site was the hot tubs of course! Set up with surrounding trees and festoon lighting, a truly relaxing space perfect for some ‘me time’. The prosecco upgrade was certainly a bonus too! And of course, we must mention the floating restaurant! This was widely enjoyed by guests and the staff, with incredible food and cocktail drinks to enjoy on the lake in the evening.

With restrictions easing we also saw the rise in outdoor weddings which kept us busy through the season! It was such a great feeling to be a part of lots of wedding celebrations and to give our customers a place for them and their guest to celebrate. Our most popular builds were the tipis and stretch tents, we also got to set up the dome a few times as well later on in the summer! If you are planning your wedding celebrations for next summer, why not have a look at our tipis? We offer a range of sizes suitable for multiple guest numbers and we think our tipis will give the WOW factor for your special day! You can request a quote on our website, just give us your details and information about your plans and we will do the rest!
