Spring Open Weekend 2018 Reflections

If you missed our 2018 Spring Open Weekend…

On the weekend of March 10th & 11th, we were visited by clients from across the country at the Ness Botanic Gardens, where we hosted this year’s Spring Open Weekend. On display was our fleet of giant hat tipis, midi and mini hat tipis, stretch tents, bell tents, interior furnishings, decorations and accessories, as well as a host of hand-picked local events businesses.

Another Open Weekend has come and gone! We made the most of the Tipis and Stretch Tents spacious interiors, while showcasing some of the new items that have been added to the inventory at our clients’ request.

This year we were joined by Paul and Lynsey at Wedding Jeep Hire, a father and daughter team with 2 fantastic WWII jeeps which they rent out as an alternative to the traditional white wedding car. Their 4 wheeled jeep (which has been restored to pristine condition) and their 6 wheeled jeep (which believe it or not, was built entirely by Paul) fit in quite well amongst the earthy canvasses of our tipis and stretch tents. It was great to see how people of all ages reacted to these British relics; definitely a conversation piece! Visit their website to read their full story.

A big thanks also goes out to China Boy North for always providing the best quality china and showcasing it in a variety of elegant table settings. And also to the Bubbly Box – Mobile Bar for providing the prosecco out of a chic, converted horsebox, and of course Celynnen Photography for bringing along their collection of photos.

1. Pictured here are 2 Stratus Tipis joined with a Cirrus Tipi, with mat walkway and festoon lighting. Our wooden double doors with a clear window wall attachment is a great way to create a grand entrance, increase space inside the tipis, and add colour and texture to the overall look. 2. Our smokeless wood burning fire is a must-have in any luxury ‘chill-out area’. Add a few chesterfield sofas, armchairs and bean bags and you’ve created the perfect space for your guests to get away from the commotion, relax and maybe roast some marshmallows. 3. You can’t go wrong with round tables, white linens and banquet chairs for that classic and elegant wedding look.

When it comes to tipis, sometimes less is more! Check out this minimalistic centre piece – succulent plants in bubble glass vases and tea light holders made of ‘mountain ash’ wood on a base of ‘blossoming cherry’ wood. *All items available for hire*

1. Pictured here is our 15m x 12m Stretch Tent – a great choice for a ceremonial tent or for any event hosted on a site with gorgeous views. The sides of the stretch tent can be raised or lowered depending on the weather and personal preference. Patio heaters are also available so that you can party long into the night without feeling the cold! 2. To achieve this same look, you’ll need some festoon lighting, padded limewash chairs, ornamental cherry trees and white pillars. *All items are available for hire*

Our 4m and 5m bell tents are great for creating a glamping village for your guests. Available with various options of interior furnishings, beds and bedding, the bell tents are a great and unique option for out-of-town guests.

Simple Spring flowers in blue glass vases for the win!

Ride in style to your wedding reception in a WWII jeep and bring the wedding party along in a matching 6-wheeler. These are guaranteed to cause a stir amongst your guests!

The Bubbly Box has got all of your prosecco/arrival drink needs covered! Great for a wedding, party or hen do!
