Laura & Ric’s Tipi Wedding In Staffordshire

Last summer, we had the pleasure of helping Laura and Ric with their ‘wedstival’ tipi wedding in Knightley. The couple were married on a sunny day in June in the company of their friends and family, amidst the vast green of rural Staffordshire. With far reaching views of the countryside, the property they chose provided the perfect venue for three giant hat tipis.

When it came to the interior furnishings, the couple went for a mix of solid wooden tables and banquet chairs to achieve the ‘rustic, but chic’ wedding theme. Their choice of pastel coloured bunting, decorations and flowers helped to create a bright, warm atmosphere inside; perfectly matched to their outdoor setting. Family photos, vintage barrels, lanterns, and some fantastic personal touches (check out their ‘Dance rules’ in the gallery below) were dotted around the tipis giving them the ‘festival feel’ that we all love so much. A tipi wedding truly brings out the interior designer in everyone.

Guests were invited to roast marshmallows on the open fire and dance like no-one is watching, long into the night. As for the bride and groom, they were able to retire to their honeymoon bell tent, directly adjacent to the tipis. In total, the couple had two stratus tipis, one cirrus tipi, one catering tent, fairy lights, wooden tables, banquet chairs with cream pads, a dance floor, fire pit, mirror ball, wooden easel, entrance walkway with festoon lighting and a honeymoon bell tent.

Wedding Photography was provided by Birds & Beards who specialise in alternative photography and film for weddings, couples and businesses.

The Dress was found at the White Rose Boutique. Based in Stafford, they provide bridal gowns, bridesmaids dresses and menswear.

Flowers were provided by Di Shackson Flowers. Based in Shropshire, they specialise in wedding flowers for both traditional and contemporary brides.

Food was catered by The Real Catering Company who pride themselves on using local ingredients to create ‘British favourites’.
